Seed Meditation
I invite you to close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so. Let's breathe together naturally and then a little more deeply. We are going to drop into our bodies and enter darkness for a few moments. Just Breathe as you develop your own unique rhythmic breathing style.
Imagine being a seed with a strong protective shell. We are being planted into the soil of Gaia, Mother Earth. We as seeds are placed gently into the dark, fertile, damp soil deep underground. Breathe.
We become aware of our placement, looking at the dark dirt around us, noticing the minerals and nutrients that enter us and nourish us. Even the earthworms and other little critters underground add to our community where we are beginning to grow. The mycelial network supports us just as it does while we are on top of the ground. Breathe.
After a time, although our tiny shell wombs may be comfortable and feel safe, we also feel the need to push out of these pleasant protectors around us, wanting to grow, to poke out a stem and some roots, intuitively and instinctually. As our stem and roots burst out into the soil, we continue to grow. Breathe.
Now, feel our roots moving downward and horizontally, our stems or stalks moving up through the soil, then moving up from the ground to our actual bodies, to our feet and up into our bodies, up to our ankles, legs, hips and into the base of our spine or our root chakras, connecting us to this luscious ground. Watch your stalk or stem as it moves into your sacral chakra area in your pelvic region and up into your solar plexus above your naval. Breathe.
Now, with eyes still closed, we begin to look up and as we look up we see the sky, we see blue and white, clouds, and birds, close by. Moving further upwards, we notice the Earth's atmosphere and also that we are being showered by the Infinite Source, the Divine from above. As we continue to look up, we see not only our sun but our moon, the stars, other planets, other celestial bodies. We may also see other galaxies, like Andromeda. We may also see bright white, silver or golden shimmering light which flows down toward us from above into our crown chakras on top of our heads. We feel love and compassion, joy and bright energy pouring down through our crown chakras. We feel all of the cosmos raining their healing energies down into our bodies. These energies flow from our heads down into the area of our mind's eye, center of our forehead, our third eye chakras. Then, the bright white, silver and gold shimmerings flow down through our throat and into our hearts.
Our stems, our growing stalks that came from below begin to enter our heart area as well and an explosion of colors occurs when all these energies meet together, from above and below, mixing together and forming a flower in our heart area. Our flowers begin to bloom, creating new life that beams inside of us and outside of us to each other, and to the world and the cosmos.
We thank Mother Earth and the Divine and all the energies of the cosmos for this experience. Pause.
Now, as we view these flowers, feeling whatever we feel, we wonder how we would like to use our time during these gatherings we are beginning to form. We let our bodies, hearts and minds absorb and nurture whatever thoughts, feelings, designs or other adventures that come to us as we pausing, breathing rhymically once again for some more moments. Now we decide to return to our circle, gently, and slowly remember our experiences in this setting with each other. Feel free to wiggle your toes, stretch, move slowly in whatever ways you want as you come back into our space. When you are ready, feel free to open your eyes and look around. And, we'll take some time as everyone moves back into this world at their own pace.
