Meditation: Co-Creating Your Own Life
"The Unbroken
There is a brokenness
out of which comes the unbroken,
a shatteredness out
of which blooms the unshatterable.
There is a sorrow
beyond all grief that leads to joy
and a fragility
out of whose depths emerges strength.
There is a hollow space
too vast for words
through which we pass with each loss,
out of whose darkness
we are sanctioned into being.
There is a cry deeper than all sound
whose serrated edges cut the heart
as we break open
to the place inside which is unbreakable
and whole,
while learning to sing."
~ Rashani
Let's speak our names into this circle today and share with each other if you have any intentions about today's gathering and if not, share briefly anything else that comes to mind.
Now for a meditation.
Do all of this VERY SLOWLY, long pauses.
I hope you can find a safe, comfortable space in here to sit, or lie down, or be in any position that works for you. (Feel free to turn off your audio and/or video, if on zoom.)
Breathe in through your nose into your belly, slowly and gently, and pull your breath up into your lungs and into your heart chakra. You can even imagine breathing in through the back of your heart (which some say is the center of your souls, connecting to the back of your heart) and then, as you breathe in, hold for just a moment at the top of the breath, if you'd like, and then breathe out through your mouth just as slowly and gently as you breathe in. Show how. We'll practice this kind of breathing during this meditation although you can certainly breathe however you'd like.
With your eyes closed or your eyelids lowered, let's breathe.
Let's call in Spirit, your spirit guides, your ancestors and any other galactic or other beings that can assist you during this brief meditation. Breathe in deeply and gently. Pause. When you breathe out, you can let go of any negativity and any energy that is not your own. Pause. Just release whatever energies you want to release as you relax inside your own body, feeling the gift of letting go. Breathe. Pause for a few moments. Breathe yourself into your own body bringing in flowing energies of Grace, letting these energies fill up every muscle, ever bone, every cell of your body. And then, let go of any energies that no longer serve you. Pause. We may also feel the other energies in our circle, and witness all sorts of energies flowing between us, around us, and inside us while being in here. PAUSE.
Some people call this rhythmical breathing multidimensional breathing, or Quantum breathing as we let ourselves interact with the Quantum field all around us and inside us.
Breathing rhythmically at your own pace in whatever ways you want to breathe, let's imagine that at this particular time in life, you have unexpectedly found, through no effort of your own, a gift, the gift to co-create your own life.
You are your creator in this meditation, along with the quantum field, and/or whatever you might call Spirit. If you want, you can allow all sorts of ingredients and variables appear to you somehow, to assist you in co-creating your best life.
With eyes closed, let's wander through a forest, shady and smelling of old growth and new growth, fungus, and a slow stream of water flowing through this forest. There is no stress here. You can ask your critical, judging parts to take a vacation for a moment, letting them go wherever they may want to go during this meditation. They will be here later for you to pick up again if you wish, but for now, you can imagine walking through this forest without them, if at all possible.
Let yourself just look around you. What do you see in this forest, this developing creation of your life? Pause awhile. Are there other living beings present in this creation? Pause. Any particular colors? Pause. Any kind of motion or action in your forest scene? Also, feel free to go anywhere while I am talking, no need to stick to this script of the forest, or even listen to my words. Pause. Do you notice any particular smells in your creation? Pause. Is there silence or sound? Pause. Just let yourself sink into this new creation you are imagining, and let yourself sense everything around you. Long pause.
Imagine what you are doing in this new life of yours. How do you move? Pause. How do you think and act? Pause. How do you dress? What type of place are you living in? Pause. What types of landscape, sounds or foods do you want in your new creation? Pause. What kinds of feelings do you want to have in your new creation? Pause. If there are other living beings in your new creation, who are they, known or unknown to you? Pause. Who do you want to bring to this special new creation? Pause. Who or what do you want to let go of? Pause.
Now, continue to enjoy this newly created life that you have constructed. Just relax and enjoy yourself inside for a few more moments. Pause.
Breathing gently, imagine dropping some of your defenses and coping skills that have so beautifully protected you all these years. They have protected you from harm and sometimes have also prevented openness and intimacy with yourself and perhaps with others. Imagine if you want to, releasing some of these skills and protectors, letting them fall gently to the side for a moment so that you can see the true you, your soul coming into form, into being. Your soul that has always been there, the soul that carries you from lifetime to lifetime and during the in-between times. See if you can catch just a tiny glimpse of your soul, in whatever ways it appears or sounds to you. It may be a visual, a smell, an energy of any sort, or a feeling. Imagine being with your soul metaphorically naked and open-hearted just for a moment. LONG PAUSE.
Now, still breathing gently, as you think about or feel into this circle of women around you, let yourself wander around inside you and imagine what you would like to see happen in this circle. If nothing comes to you, that's fine. If a color or image comes to you but no words, that's fine, too. Just breathe and wonder about this question: how can this circle meet some of my wishes or needs? BIG PAUSE.
Now, winding down, and relaxing, as we close this meditation time. You will remember some of what you have imagined here, and you can also let it go for the time being. Please thank yourself for offering you such a wonderful gift today. And, when you are ready, feel free to wiggle your toes and fingers, come back into your body, and back to our meeting, breathing gently and fully. Take your time…..
Now, let's talk! I would love to hear from you anything you want to share or nothing at all, if you so choose. The only rules about sharing here are: keeping what is said here confidential, and can you all agree to that? And, to listen and witness well, without reacting quickly to give advice or feedback. Let's get to know each other a little in these ways. Who would like to start? We can do this popcorn style and bounce around the circle.
